About Schouwburg Amstelveen

Welcome to Schouwburg Amstelveen, a central cultural hub in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The venue comprises three distinct spaces suitable for a range of performances: the Grote Zaal (674 seats: 497 downstairs, 177 balcony), the Kleine Zaal (240 seats, configurable up to 400 with seating removal), and the intimate Filmzaal (100 seats). In addition to main-stage programming, The Landing part of the same complex hosts diverse performances and events. Note: the complex has undergone renaming and renovation history, with a major Cultuurstrip planned for 2026–2027. Parking is convenient with Schouwburggarage (Thomas Cookstraat 1) and Stadsplein garage adjacent to the venue. Schouwburggarage offers roughly 600 spaces with evening rates around €7.50 for 5.5 hours. Transit to the venue is straightforward: Amstelveen bus station is about a 3-minute walk away, and tram line 5 stops at Binnehof, about a 5-minute walk to Schouwburg Amstelveen.
