About Schwarzman Center

The Stephen A. Schwarzman Center, Yale’s modern campus hub at 168 Grove Street (at the Grove/College Streets intersection), opened in 2021 after generous donor support from Stephen A. Schwarzman. It brings together performance spaces, galleries, and gathering areas for campus life, world premieres, and public events. The center is easily accessible from Yale’s campus and downtown New Haven, with multiple spaces that host everything from intimate recitals to large-scale performances.

Key spaces include Woolsey Hall (2,650 seats), the Commons (750 seated; 1,900 standing for events), The Presidents’ Room (100 seats; 150 standing), and The Dome (up to 100). Additional spaces like The Underground, Rotunda, and The Good Life Center contribute to a diverse event lineup. Floor plans and 360° views are available for planning and viewing layouts.
