Swanson Stadium is the on-campus home of the FGCU Eagles Baseball team, located on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus in Fort Myers. With a total capacity of 1,500 and a seated grandstand of 973 chairback seats plus 20 ADA spaces, it’s a compact, fan-friendly ballpark designed for college baseball energy and player development. The venue opened on February 1, 2004, featuring a memorable 20-2 win over Ed Waters College and has since hosted prominent games including attendance records from Miami (2,074 on March 29, 2017) and Notre Dame (2,062 on March 16, 2007). Notable alumni include MLB pitchers Chris Sale and Casey Coleman. The stadium was renamed in 2005 in honor of Duane and Cookie Swanson.
