Teatro Angela Peralta is Mazatlán’s premier historic performing-arts venue, located in the heart of downtown at Calle Carnaval S/N. Originally opened as Teatro Rubio, this Italian-style, horseshoe-shaped hall has a total capacity of 841 seats across four levels: Platea (294), First Level (150), Second Level (161), and Third Level (236). The theater was renamed in honor of Angela Peralta, the Mexican Nightingale, and was declared Patrimonio Histórico de la Nación in 1990. It hosts operas, ballets, concerts, and plays, continuing a long tradition of exemplary performance in Mazatlán.
