The Living Room - Kansas City is an intimate, lounge-style performance venue located in the Francis Family Foundation Living Room within the Kansas City PBS building at 125 E 31st St (intersection of 31st and Grand). The space continues the original Living Room concept—an intimate, flexible seating environment designed for close-up audience connections. With a capacity of about 100 (expandable with adjacent spaces), it’s a great spot for theatrical readings, small concerts, and club-style performances in the vibrant Crossroads Arts District.
From its origins in the Crossroads at 1818 McGee Street, where the venue hosted notable works like Carousel (KC Repertory revival) and Fringe ’16, The Living Room has evolved while preserving its signature, accessible experience. Today, audiences in Kansas City enjoy easy access via multiple transit options and nearby amenities that make a night out simple and enjoyable.
