About The Sound Lounge
Welcome to The Sound Lounge, Sutton’s community-first music venue and cultural hub. Located at 216-220 High Street, SM1 1NU, we host touring artists, local projects, and community collaborations in a space that doubles as a plant-based café and vinyl shop. We’re proud to be the first carbon-neutral grassroots venue in the UK (as of July 1, 2021). When you’re looking for a reliable, no-fuss place to catch live music, you’ve got a guy in us.
Note: The venue provides a mixed seated and standing experience with an approximate capacity of 120. For seating specifics, please contact the box office. Secure your seats and come experience intimate performances in a true community setting.
Getting here is easy by public transit or car. The closest parking options are the St Nicholas Centre Car Park and Gibson Road Car Park, with local signage guiding hours. The Sound Lounge sits a short 6-minute stroll from Sutton Station, and bus routes 80, 164, 280, 470, S1, S3, S4, and night route N44 service the area. After the show, explore nearby hotels like Premier Inn London Sutton (St Nicholas Way) and Holiday Inn London - Sutton (Gibson Road) for convenient stays. We also showcase local dining options; our plant-based café offers tasty bites before or after performances, and nearby restaurants provide a range of options. We partner with trusted affiliates to help you plan your visit, though all information is subject to change and should be verified ahead of time.
For regulars and new attendees alike, The Sound Lounge is more than a venue—it’s a community hub hosting the annual Folk in the Park festival, Time Out Youth collaborations, and a vibrant lineup of touring artists and community projects. We’ve got you covered for a memorable night out in Sutton.
