  • Origin: The Static Bar started in Topeka, KS as a 75-person capacity club in 2005.
  • Relocation: In 2007 the venue moved to Kansas City, MO, 423 Southwest Boulevard, and its name was shortened to Static Bar; interior capacity ~450, with outdoor space boosting capacity up to ~2,200.
  • Seating: Interior arrangements varied; at one point, curtains could create a small, intimate space around a 200-seat configuration.
  • Notable events: Topeka shows included Drowning Pool shortly after the move; KC-era bookings included bands such as Mayday Parade, Madina Lake, Powerspace, Nile, Mushroomhead, The Devil Wears Prada, and Alesana.
  • Renaming/status: By 2010 the KC site became Rhythm & Booze at the same address; The Static Bar brand there effectively ended, and the site has since housed other businesses.
