The Virgil LH Carr Center today operates from Park Shelton and Hannan House in Midtown Detroit, carrying forward a legacy of vibrant jazz, visual arts, and community residencies. Originally housed at 311 E Grand River Ave, the venue relocated in 2019–2020 and rebranded under The Carr Center umbrella. The Park Shelton Campus features the Carr Center Performance Studio, a 2,500 sq ft intimate cabaret–style venue, and the Carr Center Gallery, a 2,000 sq ft space for exhibitions. Here you’ll find accessible programming, reliable ticketing, and a welcoming atmosphere as you secure seats for thoughtful performances and exhibitions.
