Seating, Parking & Venue Information

  • Location and current status: WTCC was located at 1650 Argyle Street in Halifax. It closed on December 17, 2017 and was replaced by the Halifax Convention Centre (inside the Nova Centre) which opened December 15, 2017.
  • Current venue capacity and seating options: Halifax Convention Centre has approx. 50,000 sq ft of multi-purpose space plus a 30,000 sq ft ballroom; the Convention Level main hall is 25,000 sq ft with a theatre capacity of 2,500 and a reception capacity of 3,000 (two spaces can be used together to exceed these). Floor-plan PDFs are available for detailed seating configurations.
  • Parking: The Nova Centre/Nova Centre garage provides 425 underground parking spaces.
  • Transit: The WTCC site previously had access via multiple Halifax Transit routes (e.g., 2, 10, 84, 123, 138); Halifax Transit remains the public transit option for the Halifax Convention Centre.
  • Nearby hotels: Within walking distance near the WTCC/Convention Centre area are the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, Delta Barrington, Prince George Hotel, and Delta Halifax.
