Welcome to Young Memorial Field, the on-campus home of the UAB Blazers baseball program. With a capacity of 1,000 seats, the venue combines fixed grandstand seating with lawn-style areas along the third-base line and near right field, where fans often bring lawn chairs to enjoy game days. Located on the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus at 840 12th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35205, this historic field has hosted memorable moments, including the Great Midwest Conference Baseball Championship in 1992 and the program’s first on-campus night game in 1993. The field was renamed Jerry D. Young Memorial Field in 1985 in honor of Dr. Jerry D. Young, and today continues to serve as a vibrant community hub just steps from Mary Bowers Field.
