About Fairfax Symphony Orchestra & Yo-Yo Ma
Join us for a special classical music evening as the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra presents Yo-Yo Ma at the Center for the Arts at George Mason University, Fairfax Campus. Conducted by Christopher Zimmerman, this program pairs Sibelius Finlandia with Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 featuring Yo-Yo Ma and Shostakovich Symphony No. 6. The performance runs approximately 95 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission, and includes a pre-performance talk one hour before showtime. Co-presented by the GMU Center for the Arts and Fairfax Symphony Orchestra with support from the McKeever Legacy Fund, this event is a must-see for classical music lovers in the Fairfax area.
