About Ponoka Stampede
Welcome to the Ponoka Stampede, a 90-year tradition in Ponoka, Alberta. This year’s event blends high-energy Pro Rodeo, exciting Chuckwagon racing, a lively Kids Day, a parade, and a series of concert nights. All activity happens at the Calnash Ag Event Centre (Ponoka Stampede Grounds), with Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame conveniently hosted on site. Whether you’re planning an afternoon of junior rodeo or an evening of music and fireworks, we’ve got you covered with easy, straightforward ticket options.
Highlights include a daytime Pro Rodeo at 1:00 PM (Kids Day) and an evening program at 6:30 PM featuring Chuckwagons and a Main Stage concert, followed by fireworks after dark. The Showdown Dance Hall adds an intimate showcase space; opening act Jordyn Pollard performs 4:30 PM–6:15 PM, with additional Showdown acts like Shannon Smith on select days. Ticket packages allow you to combine afternoon and evening performances in the same seats, and evening tickets include Showdown Dance Hall access before 11 PM.
