The Richmond Flying Squirrels launch the CarMax Park era with an exciting home opener against the Altoona Curve (Pirates affiliate) on April 7, 2026. This is the first event at the newly redeveloped venue at 2705 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard in Richmond, VA 23220, marking a fresh chapter after The Diamond. The series runs April 7–12, giving fans a full week of baseball action at the new ballpark, with the opener set for a memorable first night in front of a sold-out crowd expected to show support for the city’s new sports venue.
How to get in on the action: opening night tickets are allocated through a free lottery, with winners notified the week of March 2. Each winner can request up to 4 tickets. Individual game tickets start at the best available price, with the remaining games going on sale March 7.
