About Curtis Chamber Orchestra
The Curtis Chamber Orchestra returns to Philadelphia for a refined evening of chamber orchestra repertoire at the Perelman Theater, part of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This conductorless ensemble is led by violinist Erin Keefe, the Curtis Institute of Music faculty member and concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra. The program features Barber’s Adagio for Strings, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola and Orchestra (K.364), and Beethoven’s String Quartet in F major, Op. 135 reimagined by Bernstein. Presented in collaboration with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society as part of the Curtis On Tour series, this performance brings top-tier classical artistry to Center City Philadelphia.
