HGO’s 2025–26 season features bold productions such as Gershwins' Porgy and Bess (Oct 24–Nov 15, 2025, Brown Theater), Puccini's Il trittico, Kevin Puts' Silent Night, Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, and the American premiere of Handel's Messiah. The season also marks the final year for Artistic/Music Director Patrick Summers. In 2025, HGO launched its own record label and partnered with London Symphony Orchestra’s LSO Live for new recordings; the HGO commission Intelligence won the 2026 Grammy for Best Opera Recording.
