With a name that honors one of jazz and pop’s most beloved voices, Torme Sings Torme continues the family tradition with his own distinctive style. Born January 29, 1953, in New York City, he is the son of legendary entertainer Mel Tormé and Candy Toxton (stepfather Hal March). Over a career spanning from the 1970s to today, he has carved out a reputation as a versatile performer—singing, acting, composing, and hosting radio programs. Fans know him for smooth vocal delivery, deft phrasing, and a deep respect for the Great American Songbook, blended with contemporary sensibilities to keep the music fresh on stage and in the studio.
