About Baird Center

The Baird Center, located in downtown Milwaukee, is a premier event complex within the Wisconsin Center District. Comprising the South Building at 400 W Wisconsin Ave and the North Building at 405 W Kilbourn Ave, the venue connects to Miller High Life Theatre and UW‑Milwaukee Panther Arena. Following a recent expansion and modernization (May 16, 2024), the campus now spans about 1.3 million square feet, including 300,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, 52 meeting rooms, and the rooftop Baird Ballroom. Its skywalk connections to nearby hotels make it a convenient hub for conferences, trade shows, and large-scale events. Whether you’re attending a convention, a concert, or a corporate gathering, security and accessibility are top priorities, and we’re here to help you secure your seats and plan your visit.

Getting to the Baird Center is straightforward. Parking is provided by the indoor Baird Center Garage with entrances at 500 W Wells St and 501 W Kilbourn Ave. There are additional downtown parking options nearby. The complex is easily accessible by the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) and sits three blocks from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station, making rail and bus connections convenient for out-of-town guests. For visitors staying overnight, the skywalks link directly to the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and Hyatt, with numerous other downtown hotels within easy walking distance. Popular local dining and entertainment options surround the venue, making it a great base for a full Milwaukee experience. Note: The Baird Center was renamed in 2023 after a naming-rights agreement with Baird & Co.
