About McConnell Family Stadium
McConnell Family Stadium is a 2,500-seat, multi-purpose stadium on the Gannon University campus in Erie, Pennsylvania. Formerly known as Gannon University Field (2001–2015), the venue was renamed on September 11, 2015. It serves as the home field for the Gannon Knights (NCAA) and, since 2013, the Erie Commodores FC (NPSL). With movable bleachers and a compact footprint, the stadium supports multiple events, from college athletics to community tournaments. We’ve got you with practical details to help you secure your seats and plan your visit.
Parking is available on-site with entry after Sassafras Street, per Gannon University athletics directions. For convenient travel, EMTA fixed-route buses and the GU campus shuttle (Route 19 University Loop) provide transportation, and riders with an eSticker enjoy free rides as part of GU services. When visiting, consider nearby hotels and dining options in downtown Erie and along the I-90 corridor (with partner recommendations to help you book confidently). If you’re attending PSAC tournaments or Gannon Knights games, we’ll help you map out the best visit plan so you can focus on the action on the field.
