Since opening in 2000, it has served as the home field for the College of Charleston Cougars soccer programs and, since 2020, the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship. The field was officially renamed Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point in 2019 in honor of a longtime coach and contributor.
