Rhodes Arena, officially James A. Rhodes Arena, is an on-campus, multi-purpose indoor arena in Akron, Ohio. Home to the Akron Zips men’s and women’s basketball teams and the women’s volleyball team, it also serves as a hub for commencements, concerts, conventions, and other large events. The arena blends a comfortable, intimate seating configuration with the flexibility of a full-sized event floor, making it a versatile choice for sports, ceremonies, and entertainment.

With a total capacity of 5,500 seats, Rhodes Arena features lower level armchair seating (1,323) and west-side upper level armchair seating (773), while the remaining sections utilize bleacher seating. The floor can be retracted to accommodate an 18,000 square foot open space, ideal for a variety of multi-use configurations.
