Venue history
The Yale Theater was originally built in 1910 as an open-air performing arts theater named the Capitol Hill Theater. In 1921, the name was changed to Yale Theater, and it began showing first-run movies. In 1946, the building’s signature facade and marquee were added, and the theater was renovated to modernize the movie-going experience. The theater's capacity was expanded to hold up to 800 attendees. [3]
