Backstage Dance Company (BDC) has been a trusted name in East Tennessee dance since its founding in 2006. Based in Knoxville and serving the East Tennessee community, BDC is guided by Artistic Director Talia Childers and offers a wide range of programs designed to develop both competitive and recreational dancers. From Ballet and Tap to Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Acro, BDC delivers disciplines that nurture performance, technique, and stage presence.

Upcoming in 2025, Backstage Dance Company is celebrating milestones with performances and auditions that showcase East Tennessee talent. The 18th Annual Backstage Dance Recital is set for June 14, 2025, at the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville, TN. The Season 20 Team Auditions will run July 28–31, 2025, and Fall classes begin August 18, 2025. Recitals and events are hosted at venues like the Clayton Center for the Arts, located at 502 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN.
