About Penelope
Penelope is an intimate, one-woman musical that brings Homer’s Odyssey to life through the voice of Colleen Cherry. With music and lyrics by Alex Bechtel and a book by Bechtel, Grace McLean, and Eva Steinmetz, this Southern US premiere is produced by Jobsite Theater as part of their 2025–26 season. The show runs August 19 through September 6, 2026 at the Shimberg Playhouse, Straz Center for the Performing Arts, located in downtown Tampa.
Note: The August 29 performance will include an ASL interpreter to enhance accessibility for all audiences.
